Here's a short video on the 4 month old male that I posted about http://nihonken.blogspot.jp/2013/06/available-4-month-old-shikoku-male.html
He arrived at my place a few days ago, and has settled in nicely. He's got lots of red with plenty of hue, with sesame coming through that should give him a nice sesame coat when he matures. Bite is good, testicles are descended, and has no major flaws. He's lanky, and has slightly larger ears, which is something I've seen in this line.
His temperament is solid. He is not snarky at all, he loves people and dogs, and even tolerates annoying little Hokkaido pups. He's not very vocal, doesn't whine very much, and generally is just really easy to have around. He's not shy either, and for not having much socialization he's amazing.
I have a couple of interested parties at the moment, but if they don't work out, I'll let you all know!

Wow, Kanryu sounds like a pretty awesome dog. He's also quite pretty. :) If I was interested in a Shikoku, I'd be all over him. He makes me want to be interested tho.. haha
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm pretty impressed with Baron in this video! I don't know what it is, but he's got this deeeep voice, and he's all muscular. He seems very much like a "man" you don't wanna mess with, but he plays well with Kanryu, so that's really cute!
Yeah, some puppies that come through take a lot of my time and attention, Kanryu is not one of those. He just has a good time when he's allowed to, and the rest of the time he just chills in his crate or kennel.
DeleteBaron is pretty close to perfect. I guess no dog is perfect, but as far as a hunting companion and buddy, he is extremely low maintenance, just sleeps around the house all day, loves people, is the greatest nanny dog ever, and then turns into a monster in the mountains. I couldn't be happier with him.
Very cute! He reminds me a lot of his sister in body type and personality.
ReplyDeleteHe's just like her, plays the same way. He nearly got his ass handed to him today for doing his bump & nip move.
