Available Black and Tan Shikoku Female

This black and tan Shikoku female is available at the moment. Her dam is sister to Riri (my pup that passed away a while back), and is a nice black sesame with a very calm temperament. She's Nidai Iwahori Sou (Teruhide x Sekihoume), and the sire is out of another kennel nearby with their own line of dogs, but it does have a bit of Kotofusa in there.

I haven't seen the pup yet, but have heard she's available for sale, so am trying to help out.

  1. I am interested in the Japanese hunting breeds, and have two American Akita. But I think that the original hunting quality has been bred out of our American Akita. As a hunter I would be interested in seeing these Japanese hunting breeds bred and used as hunting dogs primarily. I would like to know more and may be interested in getting one of these dogs, from hunting quality parents. I can be reached at Hermitking@hotmail.com

    1. If you're looking for a serious working dog for medium to large game (not a pseudo hunting dog/companion) with proper working ability, I would recommend pups out of proven Kishu parents/lines. Other than that, try something other than the Japanese breeds. Unless you like to gamble.
