A Boy & His Dog

Absolutely fantastic. Go to 4:30 if you're not going to watch the whole thing. It's worth it.

Boar Training

Got some training in for some of the younger dogs, and hopefully some good pictures too.

Hanabi

The fireworks festivals signal summer at its peak. It's been a few weeks now. The weather's already cooling, which feels really strange.

Been really busy doing some pretty amazing things. I guess they'd make great blog fodder, but I'm so busy in the doing that I forget to share. Gonna have to sort that out.

In other news, why does it always have to rain just as I start walking my dogs? 2 hours in the rain is no fun unless you're a fish or shark or something. Or an umbrella.

Houndmouth, Darlin'

Just so good with whisky. God damn that's good music

And for the record, I'm sipping Hibiki. If you haven't tried it, please do. It's damn good.

White Shiba Female

#########EDIT 2015/09/01: THANKS FOR ALL THE INTEREST. THIS PUP IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. She's gone to her new family.#########

Having a nice stretch of homes for pups not panning out. These things happen.

Well I'm still looking for a home for Hokkaido pup Mon-chan, and now for this white (cream) Shiba female Yuki.

Luckily both these girls are ridiculously cute, and quite well behaved. This Shiba pup is perfect. Literally. Temperament is great in that she's confident and very friendly toward people and other dogs. And I know I said she was cute, but she's really cute. Capital REALLY. I'll have to post video of her bouncing around later.

Anyway, if anyone's interested in her, drop me an email at kato.the.walrus@gmail.com and I'll let you know what the export costs etc will be.

Treehouses

Round one of the treehouse project took place in January. We got our base deck up, and the goal for this round was to get another deck up, plus a slide. I think we succeeded.

We're building the treehouse with kids from Fukushima. the project moves slower, but letting the kids imagine how they'd like things, and then showing them how we can find materials to use to fabricate is totally worth it.

I'm happy I grew up chasing tadpoles and not minions.
